It all started with the great crisis of 1929 when Giuseppe Angelantoni, born in 1904 in the small village of Massa Martana, lost his job as a worker in a refrigerator factory in Milan.
He is not lacking in initiative and perspicacity, so he decides to try to set up his own small business repairing the first cold appliances. The year is 1932.
LEGACY
“'Rather than a company as such, the 'factory', if you want to call it that, consisted of his motorbike and the tools he always carried with him.”
This is how Gianluigi Angelantoni, 74, one of the founder's sons of the technological empire with branches in France, Germany, India, and China, remembers his father.
Almost 90 years later, the company is still looking to the future. It ranges, it should be emphasized, from machines for vacuum simulation to healthcare; from precision mechanics to the automotive sector; from industrial applications of particle physics to devices for everyday tools. «Let's say we are always looking for new ideas» Angelantoni continues, "our watchword is innovation”
ENVIRONMENT
“Respect for the environment is demonstrated by a prominent sign at the entrance to the Cimacolle site: A sign reads: "With a 370-kilowatt photovoltaic system and a 2-megawatt bio-mass plant (both of which contribute to the air-conditioning of the facilities), we avoid releasing 319,000 kilo-grams of CO2 into the atmosphere".
ASTRONAUTS
“ESA astronauts Samantha Cristoforetti and Roberto Vittori visited the factory some time ago because of its 'space' characteristics. Then Roberto Battiston, president of Asi, touched on the excellence of the productions. Nobel Prize winner Carlo Rubbia also had the opportunity to interact with the Group. Until 1988, Angelantoni's technological excellence 'stopped' at an altitude of 10,000 meters. Since that time, the company has grown and gone from strength to strength.”
Sustainability is an integral part of the culture of all the companies in the Angelantoni Group, both in terms of internal organization and the design of products that reduce their environmental impact.
At the heart of the Group's activities, the drive for innovation has enabled it to expand its range of products and solutions, differentiating itself over time in various sectors.
After almost 45 years in Milan, founder Giuseppe Angelantoni moved his business to Massa Martana, offering work opportunities to his fellow citizens, stemming and indeed reversing the flow of emigration to the north.
